Someone Who Cares

  It has been a long day and what you’ve seen is not fair,

And you think that all this pain is more than you can bear.

Your heart breaks for my people, and rightly so,

For they have been treated unjustly by a cruel and wicked foe.

You think that I don’t see it, but I see it all,

I have felt their pain and I have heard their call.

“Then fix it!” you say, “There must be something you can do!”

But I am, dear child, for that is why I sent you.

Through you I will dry their tears and fix their broken hearts,

But yours had to be broken first, so you would know where to start.

I will hold your hand as I will hold theirs,

And then they will know, that there is Someone who cares.

Isaiah 41:13

For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand

And says to you, “Do not fear, I will help you.”
