Many Ways to Give

Helping Hands for Haiti has been powered by our faith in Jesus Christ AND the generosity of the people who have been inspired by our mission. We appreciate any amount you choose to donate. Every dollar adds up to make a direct and positive difference in Haiti. For your records, our 501 (c)(3) number is NS013285.

You’ll find links on this page to donate once or on a monthly basis. But there are a number of other ways you may not have considered. ** NOTHING ON THIS WEB SITE OR LINKS TO OTHER SITES SHOULD BE CONSIDERED FINANCIAL ADVICE. CONSULT YOUR PERSONAL FINANCIAL ADVISOR **

Donate Mandatory IRA Distribution

Consider making a donation with a Qualified Charitable Distribution(QCD). If you’re older than 70 & 1/2 years, and you have investments in IRAs, the IRS requires a minimum distribution(RMD) be made from the IRA account. Receiving this required withdrawal into your personal bank account immediately makes it subject to IRS taxes. If it is instead transferred directly from the IRA account to a qualified charity, it becomes a QCD and it will not appear as income in your tax return. You pay no taxes on the distribution and you benefit your charity with this donation. Check it out with your tax consultant or financial advisor. Remember a QCD must be completed by December 31st.
